I will be working in Irvine for two weeks and would like to go somewhere fun for the weekend in between. Are there any great towns or beaches within driving distance or would it be more worthwhile to go to Hollywood and L.A.?

I was born in the state of California, in the county of Santa Clara, in the city of San José but I do live in another state.

I will be going to Northern California and Central California for vacation of this summer of 2009.

Can anybody recommend some tourist attractions in San José?

Our family were thinking to go to california for the winter because here in Calgary Alberta its So cold in the winter. We were thinking for a place where there’s a beach, clubs, relaxing and low crime site. We also want a hotel that is really fancy but not too pricey. We want to stay there for around 3 weeks. So any City’s you would recommend?

My idea is to fly into northern California or souther Oregon, rent a car, (preferably a convertible) and just drive down the PCH with my wife. Any tips or suggestions on where to stop and where to stay or eat?

I plan on moving from Texas after I obtain my degree…I want close the coast and nothing too expensive. Also, I don’t want to be too awfully far from San Francisco. What do you think?
