Hey, so my family and I really want to spend New Years outside Hollywood. Last year we went to Big Bear, loved the weather but it was too high up and my grandparents felt bad, actually we did too a little bit. So not anything too high up there. We just want to rent a cabin and have a fun few days from maybe the 31st of December to the 3rd of June. We are 11 people and need a place with activities and stuff. So please give me some ideas on where would be nice to go to. TY!! Greatly appreciated!

I started a Coastal Redwood from seed. It is about 2 inches high. I live in PA, around Philadelphia–when can I plant it outside? How big should It be before I transplant it outdoors? Also, how fast will it grow? Like in ten years or so approximately how tall will it be? Thanks!

I’m a woodworker and often use my wood shavings to mulch my veggie garden. My main concern is for the Coast Redwood shavings because of the Tannic acid. I also use alot of white cedar and the plants I’m mulching are strawberries, onions, lettuce and beets. I live on the west coast and the soil is acidic. Are there any types of woods that shouldn’t be used in the garden?

I am trying to recycle old growth clear grain tongue and groove redwood from old poultry setters. I have a huge amount that I would like to use on a house remodel. The tongue and groove is about 8 inches wide and I inch thick. Some of it is stained, but alot of it is beautiful- No knots. How can I make use it decoratively? Can I use it on inside floors? It is fairly soft.
