Where can I get away to for a white Christmas in Arizona?
My boyfriend lives in Monterey, California and will be visiting me in Arizona for Christmas. I live in southern Arizona where there is rarely any snow, and my parents are in the middle of seperating so rather than visiting the family for Christmas we are contemplating a Christmas retreat for the two of us. Is there someplace, perhaps in Northern Arizona, that has affordable cabins with a cozy fireplace and snow? Affordable is the biggest key here because I don’t want to impose on my boyfriend’s wallet while he’s out here and I don’t make very much myself. I have thought about the White Mountains but I can’t seem to find any good enough information on lodging and activities there.

The cabins in Williams are very cozy and affordable, and that is not too far away from snowbowl, where you can take one day ski or snowboarding lessions. Flagstaff is beautiful in the winter. Also, la quinta in is very affordable with free breakfast.

I would suggest Williams A.Z. where you can hop on the Polar Express and Ride the Rails to the Rim of the Grand Canyon. A great trip and you have to do it in your P.J’s Very romantic and Santa will be visiting as well.

Well a white Christmas in Arizona is always iffy, it all depends on the weather. Your best bet is probably Flagstaff or the White Mountains. You might ck out the Prescott area though. There is definately alot of stuff going on that pertains to Christmas even if there isn’t any snow. You sure have an interesting story about yourself too, good luck with all that. Oh and the Prescott area is sure artfully oreinted also. Email me if you’d like, I have all kinds of suggestions about Christmas in this area. Lots to do & see here then.
The closest place to you would be the White Mountains about 5 – 6 hours NE from Tuscon / Tombstone. There’s a ski area there and of course cabins to rent.
About the same distance away is the Flagstaff area which will also get regular snow.
