What is the summer weather like in Humboldt County/Eureka?
I hear it doesn’t get very hot, is that true? If anybody lives there, how do you like living there?

On the coast it stays pretty cool, but nice. Drive inland 5-10 miles and it can get hot.Nice place to live but it is very expensive . Reg gas is $3.79 now and diesel is $4.19. Jobs are a little tight right now and it’s been raining hard on and off today. But I can hear the seals in the morning and the geese are starting to leave.
very cool, highs are usually in the low to mid 60’s with plenty of fog and wind. The hottest temperature ever recorded in Eureka was 87 degrees so it has never gotten hot there. The hottest temp to expect would be 75 degrees most summers. Usually fall is their "warmest" time of year. If you like warm or sunny weather this is NOT the place to move to, but if you like cool and gray then it’s perfect.
You can see the average temps and record highs on this link and scroll through the different months and see what the records and averages are for each day: http://www.weather.com/outlook/recreation/boatandbeach/wxclimatology/daily/USCA0360?climoMonth=7
