California vacation?
I want to go to Napa Valley and San Francisco for a vacation. We want to split it up, half and half. Anyone know what the best time to go there is? Winter, Sping, or Summer break? I love the cold and I live in Florida so I can handle the heat. I just don’t want to go at the most touristy time. Any ideas?

Napa gets busy with locals on weekends, so try to plan your days to be mid week in Napa and more weekends in SF. Its only about 1 hours drive so you could even move around a bit. As for weather if you like cool summer is great..remember Mark Twain’s Quote.."The coldest winter I ever spent was a summer in San Francisco" This is basically true. The warmest season in SF is the fall. Napa will be warmer, but nothing like Florida.
There are some fun Bike tours in Napa you can take which are well organized and have beautiful sceenery.
In San Francisco be sure to go to a play at ACT. You’ll see lots of locals in action and it is not expensive.
The ball park Pac Bell Park is near downtown. Its the most beautiful stadium I’ve ever seen. Try to pick up a game. You can always find tickets on craigslist.
There is a Garlic Restaurant near the financial section near Stockton. Its called the Stinky Rose. If you like Garlic its really fun and unique.
