How does Humboldt State University compare to colleges like UCLA, UC Berkeley, CalPoly SLO, and UCSB?
I plan on majoring in either zoology, wildlife, or anthropology. What should I do if I am unable to visit the campus that I wish to attend?

Humboldt State is in a very rural part of California, so visit it first to get a true feel of the campus. If you can’t visit, make sure you’ll like to attend a small rural campus environment.
UCLA, and UC Berkeley are the best schools for the majors that you listed. Cal Poly SLO is mostly engineering and science based, and UCSB is your typically beach school with decent academic programs.
