does anyone have an ornate box turtle to place in a good home?
I have my yard set up in a 12′ X 14′ for turts. Shallow pond with fountain…. shallow basking area… lots of sand.. fed daily, fresh fruit, veggies, greens, snails, and night crawlers (worms) etc. Lots of sand piles, and a bamboo fence four inches from the redwood fence, so they can hide, with about 4-6 inches of sand. Would love to have a couple more! I spend at least three hours a day with them. Know where they are at all times!

Sounds like a very good outdoor habitat. The kind that box turtles SHOULD be in.
Where are you located? We run a reptile rescue, and though we have no ornates just yet that are planned to be put up for adoption, we live in ornate box turtle country, and that might change before the summer is out.
Contact us through the website, and I would be glad to keep you in consideration.
