If I get a marriage license in Pennsylvania can an officiator in California sign it?
I’m going to call the county on Monday, but I was wondering if anyone had ever heard of this situation. We live in Pennsylvania, but we are getting married in California. Instead of spending a day of our California vacation getting a license, I was wondering if we could get the license in Pennsylvania and then just have the California officiator sign it.

No. A California Officiator has no legal authority as designated by state law (California) to sign any documents from any other state. Can he sign it? Yes. Is it legal? No, unless you adhere to California state law and he performs the ceremony.
