Gangs, are affiliated with people who ‘think’ they are ‘bad or ‘hot shi*t’. Gang-bangers are sad individuals who form groups, because they cannot stand alone… they are to afraid to stand alone. Instead they have 5 or more people in the ‘groups’ beat up on 1 individual. what’s the point in that? They do not dominate anything. They may think they do, but they do not… They need to find a new hobby. Yes, I said hobby. Just because you ‘think’ you’re ‘bad’ ‘cool’ ‘#1gang’ it isn’t anything to brag about. It IS a WEAKNESS & Immature. Whoa I killed some one. a family, or an old friend, a rival etc…. Well guess what MOST of YOU will one day end up in prison.. there is no way around it.. Okay, allow me to pop your cherry, forget about your school, or your teacher, or whoever goes around giving talks about “GANGS”. Ask them if their talks make them feel good or better than others or if the badge they wear makes them feel honest (In Cold Blood movie). It had been told to me many times, about those ex hippies who worked for drug rehabilitation centers that would lie about having taken the drugs they preached and warned about when actually they had never even seen anything except in books or movies. A “gang” is the legal definition of three or more persons with something in common that meets, associates together, or takes part in whatever hobby, culture, religion, or activity they like or have to do. The gas company employees, the bowling teams, the teachers union, the military members, see or no comp rend ay? Its easy for others to comment, to praise, or to put down social groups when they have never been a part of, they have never experienced life as this group has, or when they were not born into a community where gangs, crooked cops, and oppression from other groups was a part of life. This is the law of life, but remember that so called gangs have always been American as apple pie, even since the first wave of pilgrims dressed like Indians to dump shiploads of tea into the Boston harbor. My guess is that you could either ask the cops, who more times than others can be given the same amount of trust as the street niggers on the street who would rob from their own mother for a rock. You could visit the area in question and take a chance of being entertained with whatever sounds correct by those who may not even have any knowledge of what you are in search of. You could try to join a chapter, which may not work since you might need a sponsor, and be willing to undergo a series of tests to prove your worth. You could also ask around to see who are their enemies at the risk of being given a free tuneup (heavy duty case of assault and batter). Finally, you could suggest to your teacher what has been offered to you. Remember, anybody who asks you to do something deserves to be asked to do it first, or to do it together with you at the same time. A refusal to do so is a good indication that this person who would use you for their benefit is nothing but a pussy so stay away from them. Likewise, many teachers and professors collect true stories and accounts of street activity for their own purposes and even turn this stuff in to earn masters degrees with the information taken from their students. I will say one thing, if I am lying then I am dying but there are many accounts about these social groups which have never been published and are known to very few persons. A good majority of the former or current street corners actually started as imitations or satellite chapters of the originals groups. There are also names and places and versions which will probably never be released for whatever reason. I will probably never be considered as authorized, or entitled to shared this knowledge as well. All I would tell my teacher or your audience is that times change like the tires on cars and that the only way to know for sure is to visit that neighborhood to take a look.

I lived on the steets of Humbolt Park from 1991 through 1999 particularly Albany and Wabansia also known as Wild West. It was wild and I would be out until the next morning, experiencing all of it. It has been a while and feels like a dream now. These posts remind me of the reality and crazy experiences that are unique to that area.
