how can i fix a stripped door hinge screwhole without relocating the hinge?

http://x-tige.com/designers/mua-mua-ss14lookbook/attachment/ludo-15-09-130320/ i think the frame is redwood, it’s in a 1890’s victorian style home. the doors are original solid wwol and have the original hinges. btw, there is no wood behind the frame for at least 7 to 8 inches. i tried a 6 inch deck screw and got nothing. hate to do it, but i might try butterfly screws. any suggestions?

Can I bring my dwarf hamster to Humboldt State Univeristy?

He’s just a a bit smaller than my palm. I heard Humboldt allows amphibians in tanks. Will they let me have him if I put my hamster in a tank with an open top in stead of a cage?

photography in the redwoods?

i will be taking pictures at a wedding in late may in the redwoods and have found it a bit tricky getting good shots since it can be quite dark under the heavy tree canopy. normally i would just use a tripod and lower shutter speed but ill be taking pictures of people, moving and whatnot. so…any tips or advice is definitely welcome. if it helps, i have a nikon d3000 digital slr with a reg lens and a 200 mm one.

Northern California Honeymoon Destination (fun things to do?)?

I will be getting married on September 24th and plan on having my honeymoon in Northern California. The honeymoon will probably last for about a week, so I don’t want to travel anywhere below the Central Coast. I plan on going to maybe the redwood parks and grass valley, but I would like to avoid San Francisco if possible (been there plenty of times already). What would be some fun activities for us newlyweds in that area? I was thinking of maybe taking a train ride but don’t know what the best place would be for that. I was also thinking of visiting a wildlife sanctuary or aviary, but I’m don’t know where any good ones are. Any additional ideas would be great, thanks!

I will only be in the San Francisco area for a weekend, so what places should I see?

I am going to be in the San Francisco area next month but only for the weekend, so will I have enough time to see the redwood forest, the Winchester house, the Fairmont hotel, and ride a trolley around the downtown area? Also, are there other places that I should definitely see if I only have a weekend there?
