I too am from L.A. Theres wild fires out of control right now. So Dont go to six flags in valencia.
San Diego is a nice relaxed place. They have the zoo wich i highly recommend. Santa barbara is beutiful. San francisco is always cold.
Long beach has the aquarium of the pacific its low cost and theres some good restaurants. Long beach also has wale watching. Its 45 bucks a pop but you get on a descent size boat and i believe its blue whale season. They are phenomenal animals to look at.
Hollywood has Night clubs and bars where u can watch live bands. Theres also Pinks Hotdogs which is a landmark. Corner of LaBrea and Melrose.

There’s Vegas, which isn’t too far. Lots of people will be heading to the beach.

I wouldn’t recommend going to Palm Springs. It’s going to be hot & uber crowded. I’d recommend going to San Diego. Theres the city and the bay. you can also take boats sailing. One of my fav. places to go is San Clemente, they have an ah-mazing pizza place called Selma’s Pizza. They have a bunch of little shops up and down the street you can walk to. You can also rent beach houses there that have fire places and you can roast marshmallows. Also I love La Jolla beach, it’s so beautiful there and they too have a bunch of stores you can walk to. It depends on where you’ll be though. San Fransisco is fun, you can see the Golden Gate Bridge and there is the bay and a bunch of stuff, but if you are thinking more about the San Diego area they have an awesome theatre where you can see plays. Have fun!
