What is the best hotel pool in Halifax?

I booked a room at the Four Points, just for the sake of having a room booked. It is refundable, so I will change, if decided.

I’ve stayed at the Westin two times now, the Delta Barrington (in a Club room), and my first trip was just basic, staying at the Residence Inn.

I never visited the pool at the Residence Inn, but I can’t imagine that it would be the best, or even among the best in the city. The Delta Barrington had a pool that was pretty disgusting to us, to be honest. The pool liner was greenish and slimy, just like the water was slimy as well. The Westin has a really nice pool area, and the whirlpool is pretty good.

Anyway, I’ll be staying there for eight days with my partner, and in our past vacations, we’ve loved a good pool to go swim in. I was considering the Westin again, but I found it so much easier to be right in the heart of downtown, like closer to Spring Garden Road. I find it a pain to only be able to take the #7 bus to go somewhere from the Westin, especially if it’s raining out.

So this time, I was considering staying at the Four Points, Radisson, Courtyard, and the Delta Halifax.

I’ve had great experiences with the pool at the Delta hotels in Moncton and Fredericton, so I’m willing to give the Delta Halifax a shot as well.

Claiming children on tax return?

My exwife and I share custody of our 2 daughters.
We live in California. We have 50/50 sole and phisical custody.
I move to Souhtern Cali and now I get my grils during vacations.
She gets them like 90 to 100 more days than she used too.
She thought she was going to get thousands of dollars by keeping them but end up been like 100 bucks more in child support. She just wants the money and I don’t mind giving it as ong as it goes toward my kids. Unfortunately she has another baby and husband and my girls want to move down ghere with me.
they’;re 9 and 10.
Anyhow, We agree in court that I will claims the 9 year old and she will claims the 10 year old. Now that we moved she want’s to claim both and she doesn’t want me to claim any at all.
Although we still have joint custody cause I still have my girls for some motnhs of the years.
Now what do I do about it, can she end up claiming boht, or should reman tha same.
Also I’m making 20000 less taht when I was in northern cali.
well since i moved 50/50 change cause i have them during vacations but joint custody still valid cause i still get to have the girls.
Now is she going to be able to change that order that states that we each get one girls for tax returns?
Do you think the court will allow her to get the other girl for tax return purpuses, eventhough I pay her child support and pay their insurance and benefits?

What should I do in this situation?

I got married when I was 24 to my husband who was the same age in 2004. He decided unilaterally that he was going to grad school part time and didn’t work at all for the next 4 years…thus far he has not worked at all. He has also been extremely disrespectful in the past. Right after we got married, he tried to search for his ex (the one he lost his virginity with), then when he was in grad school, he had a picture of some girls he went to school with (half naked) hidden on his computer (which I accidently found). After the first incident where he was searching for his ex, I told him he had to pay for all the Bills if he wanted me to stay around…I thought this would motivate him to get a job….nope….I paid for everything else (vacations, groceries, gas, any entertainment…etc… and he was responsible for all bills only). In 2006, he crashed my car (which I had before marriage and was fully paid off for) on purpose with both of us in it…the car was totalled. I moved out of the city to northern california to get away from him. I loved him very much still. After I moved away, I paid for all my living expenses, plus his expenses when he visisted, plus flight tickets EVERY weeked for the next 15 months. He graduated in May of 2008 from part time degrees with 2 masters degrees and no job….he really wanted to move in with me, and I told him the only way he could do that is if he paid for EVERYTHING….and he did for about 9 months….and now I pay for the rent and he pays for everything else…..I am confused….I know we love eachother, but the finances are such a damn issue…..how and where do we begin with trust on money???? I want to solve this issue, but don’t know how tooo!! I am desperate for sound advice from both men and women who have been married and understand what I am going through…I don’t want a divorce, but I don’t want to be stupid or nieve…what would you do given the situation?
He drained his savings, then lived off money his parents gave him for a while, then when they told him to move back to LA because they didn’t want him to spend their money paying for his living expenses with me, he started selling stock from a gift from his parents to pay for bills….basically he has gone broke to be with me, but keeps acting disrespectful…

What is wrong with my friend?

Let me explain. I have a friend who over the years has had episodes(as she calls them) were my friend has let say gone off the deep end.
For example, one time my friend (Sarah) along with some of my other friends where at an amusement park. Every was time, we where standing in line, when the ride broke down. Slowly but surely Sarah started saying she wanted to leave, and like a volcano she erupted. Screaming, yelling, pounding her upper legs and walking around in a circle. This went on for about 20minutes. Then another friend who is psychologist able to get Sarah to re-focus.
The next time this happened I was on vacation with her up in Northern California. Sarah wanted to eat, and eat NOW. So, once again she starting slow, then like the volcano she was yelling, screaming, cussing everyone she seen. This continued for at least an hour. What was I doing at the time, nothing. I did not know what to do, plus I wanted to see the show at the western town we where visiting.
Another time Sarah behaved this way was at a Sci fi convention. She wanted to go home to see some show. My friends who where also at the convention said they would taker home. But no, she would not leave, eventually she went completely out of control at the restaurant we where at after the convention. The restaurant manage asked us to leave because of her behavior.
Sarah is not a child but an adult over 30 years old. I no longer take her on vacations, and I pray when we go out to eat
I am trying to find out what is wrong with her, beside accepting she is a brat.
Can anyone help me?

Where can I find a good lawyer in Northern California to sue Hilton Hotels?

My fiance’ were staying at the Berkeley Marina Doubletree when their Security tried to enter our room at midnight, 2 times, without knocking. I’m afraid the Security Guard was up to something and when I opened the door, He rudely told me I had to go to the front desk. As it turns out, the front desk made a mistake stating my credit card was no good. After they realized it was, they offered me 20,000 Hilton Points and a free nights stay there. I told them I never wanted to stay there again and filed a police report. Since then they informed me the security service had been replaced, but retracted their free nights stay offer. I contacted Hilton corporate multiple times with only rude replies.
As it turns out, my fiance’ is now unable to sleep, but even worse, unable to orgasm while away at any hotel. This has ruined any subsequent vacations for me and I want Hilton to pay for this.
I am looking for a good lawyer to help on a contigent basis.
Help.

Good California Vacation Destinations?

My fiance and I have an 8 month old daughter, and we’re trying to find good places to visit in California for vacation during the winter season (aside from Lake Tahoe, which we visited last year). We currently live in L.A. county, but would like to see some new places. Our daughter will be a year old by the time we take this vacation. What are some good vacations for our little family to take and have a good time?
