Are you a person who likes trees more than flowers, or vice versa?
I like trees way more than I like flowers. Especially the ancient redwoods/sequoias that are exceptionally massive.

Where online can I find SEEDS of Giant Sequoia, Dawn Redwood and Ginko Biloba trees for a good price?
The trees in question are four palm and one redwood. All are fully grown.
If a company owned a pine forest, cut down the trees and then replanted the trees, how long before the new trees would be ready for harvest? What it it were a redwood forest?
I am planning a family vacation. I have a 2 and 5 year old. I remember the pictures of people driving through the forest looking at the trees. I am not sure how much hiking and walking will be required.
I would like an outdoor trip for the family. We’ve never been out camping and it is a shame.
If you have any other suggestions it would be appreciated. Keep in mind that the only seasoned camper in our group is my husband. I am not ready to carry 2 kids up a mountain. ![]()
The whole thing has always been white (even the floor) and it’s so touch to keep it clean because we have a lot of trees, thus pollen and mildew always collect on the floor. So this year for my annual re-stain I’m tempted to keep the rails white but stain the floor a darker color, perhaps a redwood color, to eliminate the vulnerable floor. Would this look weird? Any tips, ideas, etc.
i can’t believe it. Who let that happen. Those trees are the oldest living thing on earth. They didn’t even use the land they just clear cut it all down for the wood.
I am going to attempt to grow my own Dawn Redwood, Giant Sequoia, and Coast Redwood. Can anyone THAT HAS GROWN these trees, give me some advice as to how to germinate them and grow them, etc. I want professional advice please, only from people who have grown these trees.
Like the Angeles National Forest. It’s not a forest. It’s filled with shrub, rocks, dried sand. It’s ugly. Trees in southern california are ugly. you have to go to northern california to see those beautiful redwoods.
What is the difference? I have always wanted to see the biggest trees on earth. I have seen beautiful pictures of them in misty forests. I am not sure where to go to see them. Are they redwoods or sequoias?
Also, my husband is handicapped and has limited mobility, so hiking is out of the question. Any advice? Where to see them? Where to stay? How to get around?
