Last spring break my family got 5 free round trip tickets because American Airlines gave away our seats (hate that airline) The ages of the people going are 47 (my dad) 64 (my grandma) 16, 14, and 10 (me and my sisters). My dad doesnt want to go to the Los Angeles area. They probably want to go to a beach but I’d be more interested in a city. Is there a nice family friendly city in california near a beach? Or a beach with good shopping or near a city.
(also im not interested in going to the redwoods or anything historical)

My friend and I are both 15. we want to go on a mother daughter trip to California and it is all I can think about. She and i want to go to the beach, preferably near a really fun port or something so we can have fun at night and day. There must be some shopping and nice places to eat. Mostly she and i just wanna ride bikes, meet people, and hang out on the beach. Something very chill but still fun for teenagers. I live in Portland Oregon and my mom wants to spend no more then 8 hours driving to our summer vacation. I would like to get sun this summer as in go to So Cal but obviously that’s out of the question. She wants to go to some place up by Seattle in a rain forest, which would be cool only there is NOTHING there!! Im looking for some sunny places in Northern California that would accommodate both my mother and myself’s requirements. I want a beach with sun and shopping and she wants a short car ride. We have driven to Reno NV in a day and I wouldn’t mind doing that again. She would want to do this in a weekend. That means leaving either thursday night after work or early friday morning, and leaving either monday or sunday afternoon.

my husband and I are taking our daughter for a two week vacation for her sixteenth birthday, one week in las vegas then a week in california in april.

what would be some places to go preferably in california that a teen girl might like?
like any good spas? or what are some ideas where can take her in the LA, beverly hills area for a special time. wheres good shopping?
As of now we know that we’re spending a day at a beach, disneyland and for part of a day visiting UCLA

My boyfriend and I are going on vacation for 9 days in September 2007. I want to go to Dubai because there is a gorgeous beach with really blue water, along with an indoor ski resort, city, nightlife, shopping, sand dunes and the latest and greatest architecture! My boyfriend wants to go to a deserted island like Bora Bora where there is BEAUTIFUL, CLEAR water, but I think we would get bored after 3-4 days and I would get island fever! Anyone been on any of these two? If not, have any of these places come to your mind?

What would you choose?

If none of these appeal to you, where would you go?

BTW, my boyfriend is originally from the UK and I am Vietnamese-American (born and raised in Texas). We both reside in Northern California just to give you a background of us. Also, we have never been to either of these places.
