If I want to go to California on vacation, what is the best city to see?
I can’t decide whether I want to see Los Angeles, San Francisco, or San Diego. I’m interested in a place with wonderful restaurants and great (but not too expensive) shopping.
California vacation/road trip suggestions?
My friend and I are flying out to California in March of next year. We don’t have anything planned, so I’d like some suggestions on what to do/see.
We were thinking of flying into Sacramento then traveling down and ending in either San Diego or Las Vegas, NV, depending on time. Some things we thought of were
Sacramento, Lake Tahoe, San Fransico, Hollywood/LA, San Diego, Disney Land, but I need some details from people who have actually been there so we don’t miss anything really cool. I saw something about Dead Valley Memorial? Cool stuff like that. We’re open to anything city/night life, natural/nature spots, beaches, mountains, amusement parks, whatever!!!

and 100 miles in land as far as sacramento all the way to just north of San Diego.

Where should I go for Vacation this year?
I have a few in mind: Northern California (Have a couple buddies in Redding, CA)
Baniff (sp?) National Park, Canada
Southern Utah –> Vegas –> San Diego
Grand Canyon, AZ
Can’t make up my mind… I’ve been to all of them, but my girlfriend has never been out of the Midwest. it’s gonna be for 2 1/2 weeks, I have a 30ft fifth-wheel, and a 80 Lb Dog (Havent been to these places in like 10-15 years.)
What should I do on my California vacation in February?
I’m going to California for my 23rd birthday with my best friend. We are going February 4th-9th. As it looks now we are spending the 4th and 5th in Los Angeles. Currently the only things I’d really like to check out is Venice Beach and Whisky a go go (I’m a huge rock music fan!) The 6th and 7th we are going to spend in San Diego.(The 6th we are going to see Emmure.) Then the 8th and 9th we were going to return to Los Angeles. I’ve never even been off the East Coast so I have NO clue how to spend my vacation!! Any and all tips and ideas are appreciated! (Where to stay, what to do, where to eat, where to not go!) I’d also really like to find a fun restaurant/bar to go to for my birthday the first night we are there. (I’m not really a club kind of girl I’d prefer a bar, especially one with live music!)
Best cities/areas to visit in California for a romantic weekend vacation?
I am thinking about taking my boyfriend on a road trip up the coast. We live in San Diego so I want to head north for a few days. Some places I had in mind where San Fran, Catalina Island, San Simeon, San Luis Obispo. Anyone have any ideas? Oh and any worth wild places to check out, like I was thinking of going Hearst Castle, any other attractions we should stop for? Everyone is giving me a cities to visit but I need attractions too. I want to take him to special places we have never been before.
What is a really fun route to take for a roadtrip starting in Texas and ending in Victoria Canada?
My husband and i are taking a delayed honeymoon soon and we want to do a roadtrip. We live in dallas and want our ultimate destination to be victoria in canada. We are having trouble figuring out a route..the following places are destinations we DEFINITELY want to hit up at some point on the trip: alberquerque, gunninson colorado, boulder, denver, las vegas, seattle, victoria, san diego, grand canyon. We have plenty of time and aren’t scrunched for money…we want to go along the coast in northern california and oregon/washington. we also want to be able to stop at cool weird places even if they are 100 miles out of the way. we are very flexible. and also, preferably we would like to do vegas on the way home. i was just wanting some suggestions on things to see and an actual route to take. please help! we would both reallllllllllly appreciate it!
