I am graduating and my parents are going to send me and a few friends on a weekend vacation. What’s a good spot? (San Diego is a no and it has to be less than three hours away from LA.)

A three star hotel with not so good reviews or a two star hotel with good reviews?

So I am going to San Diego to visit my boyfriend in the Navy and we are staying in a hotel near the Gaslamp in Downtown. I wanna make this trip memorable and do not want to deal with a bad hotel stay. So I’m choosing between Porto Vista and Best Western Cabrillo Garden Inn. Porto Vista have rating of 3.1 while Best Western have 4.2

Also, if anyone knows if Porto Vista have complimentary breakfast included…It doesnt say on their site and some say they do while some say they dont in the reviews. Thanks ;D

What are some good places to stop on my road trip?

I’m coming from San Diego and driving up to Fresno, then Yosemite, then Crescent City/redwood forest, going all the way up the Oregon and Washington coast to Port Angeles then going to Seattle then to Portland and back down,.

What are some really cool things that I can stop for on the way (sight seeing stuff and things that cost little or no money) Thanks!

Need help with living till we get settled. Please help.?

The story is that I just graduated from high school and my boyfriend and I are looking to move in together. But I live in Northern California for the time being and he is in the Marines and stationed in Camp Pendleton, San Diego. We are trying to move to a town called Fallbrook which is right outside the Base. Or at least somewhere close to there.

I have been looking for a job down here but we really want to move in together. We’ve been dating for 8 months and have only seen each other a hand full of times. As soon as I have a job and have some money coming in we will be able to get our own place. But until then we have no where to go. It would only take a month to two months tops for me to find a job and for us to find our own place.

We are trying to find an appartment or a room for rent but it is not working out how we planned.
So now I’m trying to find somewhere that maybe an older couple lives and goes out of town maybe taking an RV and living in it for vacation for a while and needs a house sitter. We are both very respectful and would leave the house exactly the way we found it.

I know this is a long shot but I thought it might be worth a try. If you know of someone that would be willing to take us in or if you know someone who needs a house sitter for a month or so you would be doing us such a huge favor. If you know anyone please feel free to contact me either on this or on fb or even call my cell phone. Just contact me on here first and then I will give you my further contact information.

What to buy a hunter that has everything?

My father in law is a hunter, he hunts whitetail and mull deer. He has guns, trucks, camo, etc. What would be a good useful present – that he would actually like? He also is into motorcycles and has two. He also has been getting more tattoos lately? He and my mother law are going to Hawaii early next year, and he has been in San Diego for several months cleaning up after the fires, and getting the phone lines back up. He is a great guy – just hard to buy for? We live in the Redwoods/on the coast.

What to pack for California vacation?

It’s in 2 weeks, for about 8 days. We’ll be staying in San Diego pretty much the whole time. I’m so excited, but I’m not sure what to pack in terns of shorts. Do I bring like maybe one pair of jeans, and all shorts? Short shorts or capris? I know the weather isn’t exactly burning down there at the moment, so can you guys fill me in? Thanks!

I have a 10 day vacation Arriving in San Diego on Friday July 16th. I want to spend 2 days in SD and 2 days in SF. Also I want to spend a day at Sequia national park possibly yosimite park and the rest of the time driving the California coast. How would you go about planning this time wise and how long does it take to drive the coast while enjoying the sights.

Vacation to California or BosWash?

I live in Toronto and I’m planning to go on a vacation in the Spring (end of April, beginning of May) for a couple of weeks and I was wondering if I should go to BosWash or California? I’ve sort of been to both, but here I’ll let you guys know:

BosWash – The only place I’ve been between Boston and Washington is New York City. I’ve seen most of NYC and been to all its boroughs in a week. I heard getting around the cities in the Northeast US is cheap. I want to visit Boston, NYC for a bit again, Philadelphia, Baltimore, Washington and maybe Virginia Beach. The only problem is that Baltimore, Washington and Philly seem like dangerous cities to visit.

California – I went to California last year for a week (Los Angeles for 3 days, San Francisco for 4 days). I didn’t get to see everything, so I want to visit again. If I go, I’m planning to see SF again, Sacremento, maybe the central coast/wine valley, Los Angeles, Orange County, and San Diego. The only thing is, I can’t drive in the U.S. right now and it would make my trip in L.A. a lot more fun if I could.

So what do you guys think? Should I go to BosWash or California this spring?

I am gonna visit Los Angeles again, since i used to live there, to see best friends. So i wanted to know, how long would it take to get to San Diego by car ( never been there to be honest) ? or could i take a plane to San Diego from Los Angeles ? thanks
