Can Redwood trees grow places that get cold so long as they are watered enough?
I live in a place with cold winters (temps can get below 0 F at times) and I am wondering if Redwood trees can grow in such a climate

Colleges.ugh.decision time.help!please?
im deciding between sonoma state and humboldt state.
my mom wants me to go to sonoma, mostly because its closer (about an hour away).
*the pros:
close to home
sunny weather
nice dorms
better reputation
*cons:
-Rohnert Park (the town its in) is sooooo boring!it’s deff not a college town. its in the suburbs and all they have is like a bunch of chainstores. i HATE that kind of environment. and i heard the town is full of a bunch of old people who always call the cops
-commuter campus..half the people leave on weekends, which means i probably will. but i want to go to a college that will be my HOME not a home away from home.
Humboldt
pros:
-downright beautiful campus and area. redwood trees everywhere.
-the smell of fresh, clean air (lots of trees=more oxygen)
-people there are SO nice! just a bunch of chill people
-dont need a car because most things are within walking distance
-residential campus–it will be my home. and i hope to live in that area after i graduate.
-the town is very college friendly–its a college town! lots of college-centered things
-in general, i just love the town its in (Arcata, CA)
-the food is mostly organic and fresh (grown right in the area)
cons:
-bad weather–it rains most of the year :/ (although i dont really care)
-when people think humboldt, they think weed
im not too concerned about the reputations because im going into nursing and they dont really care where you graduate from, employers care more about the grades you got.
ugh!!so hard.
do i go to a school i downright love and cant wait to go to even though it rains
or
do i go to a school my parents favor thats closer to home and has nicer weather?
what would you do in my situation?

I have several redwood trees in my yard. The lower limbs have gotten too long and impede my deck. If I cut them back will they die or will they green on the ends?
I’d also like to climb the trees and then thin near the top so I can get light on my pool again. If I cut the limbs back at the top could that kill the top? I know not to top the tree but I’m wondering if I thin the limbs if the tree could die or grow too much more.
Where can I find redwood paneling material in the SF Bay Area? I would like interior molding stock too?
Ha ha ha I get it, spotted owls live in redwood trees. so funny.
I recently bought Redwood Tree seeds from http://www.redwoodrus.com/Misc/Redwood_Trees.html
Only one grew (lucky, I know!) and it is now ~two inches tall in a peat pot with germination soil. How do I care for this tree? Should I use Miracle-Gro for it? Can I plant it outside (I live in Pennsylvania close to Philiadelphia)? Thank you ![]()
Please share your experience or what you know about using Redwood trees for landscaping a backyard.
There are 2 huge redwood trees next to my house and they produce huge amount of droppings everyday. I don’t have time to clean up my driveway daily. The droppings then stained my concrete driveway. What should I do? Any help is appreciated. Also, is there any tool (hand/power) that can pick up those droppings easily?
All I know it my husband has always wanted to see the Redwood trees. I have the idea of staying in a small cottage(something romantic). Maybe a small kitchen, with a hot tub. I don’t mind staying in a small town but would like a nice view of the forest and walking distance (less than 1/2 mile). Must be nicely decorated and comfortable beding. What city/ state? Any suggestion
