I'm travelling to San Francisco this autumn. What sites should I not miss?
I know about Alcatraz and have a bay cruise and redwood forest trip booked, but am looking for things that are non-touristy as well. Any and all suggestions welcomed.
What are the seven wonders of the natural world?
I have looked at different sites on google, but they each have different lists. Also, none of them have the Northern lights, the Redwood Forest, or Niagara Falls and i thought those 3 were part of the 7.
Why do Redwood Trees live so long and get so tall?
I visited the Redwood Forest once, and have always wondered why they grew to be so tall.
I will only be in the San Francisco area for a weekend, so what places should I see?
I am going to be in the San Francisco area next month but only for the weekend, so will I have enough time to see the redwood forest, the Winchester house, the Fairmont hotel, and ride a trolley around the downtown area? Also, are there other places that I should definitely see if I only have a weekend there?

Restaurant with a river in it near the Redwood Forest?
About 15 years ago I visited the Redwood Forest in California and we stopped in a restaurant that had a river inside the building. At the time the restaurant was not in operation, but they let my mom and I take a peek inside just becase my mother wanted me to see a piece of history. Apparently a lot of celebs hung out there way back when. Does anyone know what I’m talking about or where it was located? Thanks!
Where to go on a California road trip?
I might be interested in taking a road trip through all of california (north tip to south tip or vice versa) to take photos. I know I want to go to the well known places (San Fran, Disneyland, LA, Hollywood, the Redwood forest, etc.) but I want to go to lesser known places as well. So, where do you recommend I visit?

i love Humboldt State University. I cannot imagine myself going anywhere else. I LOVE the Redwood forest. its paradise to me. i love the rain and the community there.

What are some good places to stop on my road trip?
I’m coming from San Diego and driving up to Fresno, then Yosemite, then Crescent City/redwood forest, going all the way up the Oregon and Washington coast to Port Angeles then going to Seattle then to Portland and back down,.
What are some really cool things that I can stop for on the way (sight seeing stuff and things that cost little or no money) Thanks!
