My fiance and i are looking for an awesome vacation this summer. i’m wondering if anyone has any recommendations for places to eat/stay/sight see in the California redwoods. I want to see the big trees. i’ve never been. thanks!
My fiance’ was born in 1974 in Redwood City California and he would like to find his birth parents. We have thier names and very little information about them. He was told his adoption record was record is sealed. Does anyone know what would be the best way to find them?
I am getting married Summer 2010 and am running out of ideas for reception sites! We are considering the Four Seasons Biltmore in Santa Barbara as well as Spanish Hills in Camarillo. Something in Ventura County would be better than Santa Barbara, as we will have elderly relatives attending who have a hard time traveling.
However, my fiance and I really have our hearts set on finding a ballroom (or banquet room) with multiple sets of french doors that open onto a garden patio.
We have looked at the Westlake Village Inn, Sterling Hills, Los Robles Greens, Calamiguas Ranch in the Malibu Hills, Malibou Lake Mountain Club, the Vineyards in Simi Valley, two other golf courses in Simi Valley, the Four Seasons in Westlake … and more that I cannot think of right now, I’m sure.
Any suggestions of more places to go see?
My fiance and I are getting married August 28. We are looking to go on our honeymoon either a couple days after that, or we can depart later, up to two weeks after our wedding.
We are looking to go on vacation for 6 or 7 days. We like to snorkel, dive, hike, swim, etc. Nightlife is fine, but what we really want are fun recreational things to do. Also a decent hotel, like the Westin, Hyatt, etc. I looked on Expedia, etc. and we can find some nice places in Cancun for less than 0/person including flight and stay at a Hyatt. This sounds good to me. But the flight is 11 hours long from Sacramento, California to Cancun. I would like a shorter flight if possible. So maybe somewhere closer to California, but still in Mexico. Does anybody have a recommendation on which city to go to, where to stay, and somewhere that doesn’t take 10 or 11 hours to fly to from Northern California, and that is not too expensive.

We live in South East Michigan and plan on driving into Northern California, driving South on the Pacific Coast Highway until L.A. From there we will spend a few days in Vegas and then Head back Home. We don’t necessarily plan on stopping everywhere for a couple days…we mainly want to drive South on the PCH for the views…I hear the are incredible. I would like our main stays to be a couple days each on a couple beach cities and a couple days in Vegas. The rest we will just be stopping, sight seeing, etc.
Does anyone have any suggestions for us??? Places we just HAVE to see, restaurants along the way we HAVE to try??? I really appreciate any input.

My fiance’ and I are getting married at the beautiful garden of a local inn on September 19, 2009, with the theme "English Garden" in mind. We’re not being strict about the theme, as we throwing in fun touches now and again.
Our wedding colors are kiwi, pale pink, white, and silver.

In our area, early September is still very green, flowers around, etc. Our new location would be at the garden of a local inn, and I was considering the classic-to-the-point-of-almost-being-cliche’ green, pale pink, white, and silver. Would that be alright?
