Hey, so my family and I really want to spend New Years outside Hollywood. Last year we went to Big Bear, loved the weather but it was too high up and my grandparents felt bad, actually we did too a little bit. So not anything too high up there. We just want to rent a cabin and have a fun few days from maybe the 31st of December to the 3rd of June. We are 11 people and need a place with activities and stuff. So please give me some ideas on where would be nice to go to. TY!! Greatly appreciated!

I recently went on vacation for over a month in northern california. on my way back after being on the bus for 19 hours I started coughing and it hasn’t stopped for a few days. I have some theories of whats wrong and wanted some of your opinions

1. the change in atmosphere might just be messing with my body
2. The extremely long bus ride could have just worn down my bodys immunity
3. I got my tongue pierced a month ago and it might still be healing

what are your thoughts on this?
I started coughing out some gunk yesterday for a bit but now nothing. my piercing isn’t infected but I figured maybe it’s part of the healing process. But it’s just a cough! nothing else is wrong which is why I’m so confused. usually I just get sick or get a sore throat.

My fiance and I are getting married in April 2011, and we are planning to leave on our honeymoon the 2nd week in May. We are taking off for a couple weeks and going on a Road Trip! We live in South East Michigan and plan on driving into Northern California, driving South on the Pacific Coast Highway until L.A. From there we will spend a few days in Vegas and then Head back Home. We don’t necessarily plan on stopping everywhere for a couple days…we mainly want to drive South on the PCH for the views…I hear the are incredible. I would like our main stays to be a couple days each on a couple beach cities and a couple days in Vegas. The rest we will just be stopping, sight seeing, etc.

Does anyone have any suggestions for us??? Places we just HAVE to see, restaurants along the way we HAVE to try??? I really appreciate any input.

Usually I go to a quite place like jenner (along the russian river) or cambria. I am looking for an inexpensive place to rent for a few days, for a larger family. Just looking for cool and quite, to relax from the city. Preferably not longer then an eight hour drive. Thanks

I am thinking about taking my boyfriend on a road trip up the coast. We live in San Diego so I want to head north for a few days. Some places I had in mind where San Fran, Catalina Island, San Simeon, San Luis Obispo. Anyone have any ideas? Oh and any worth wild places to check out, like I was thinking of going Hearst Castle, any other attractions we should stop for? Everyone is giving me a cities to visit but I need attractions too. I want to take him to special places we have never been before.

We just installed new sod a few days ago in Northern California. We’ve been watering it according to recommendations (3 times a day, one inch of water each time). But, it’s got tinges of yellow at the base of the blades and want to make sure it won’t get worse. We’re going away on vacation next week and want to make sure we don’t return to a dead lawn!
