Looking For A Great Beach Home, Buy A Home In Del Mar California

Looking For A Great Beach Home, Buy A Home In Del Mar California

Just west of the I-5 and Carmel Valley is Del Mar, which happens to be the smallest beach city on the Pacific Ocean. Located just northwest of San Diego, it is home to the famous Del Mar Fairgrounds and racetrack. Many Holly wood celebrities have homes there. As a result, it is coined the city “where the surf meets the turf”.

With more than 4,500 residents, homes in Del Mar are spread out from the bluffs above the ocean and into the hillsides. Along with the ocean views are plenty of trees adding a very nature, rustic like feel to the city. Many of the homes were originally built in the 1940′s and into the 80′s. Most Del Mar homes have beautiful ocean views. Most homes don’t have to fear any buildings obstructing their views as it is illegal to do so. Residents are part of a town that wishes to maintain it’s small town village charm.

Every summer, residents of DelMar are able to enjoy the yearly fair held at the race tracks at the northern part of town. The fair lasts 3 weeks and brings over a million guests.

Residents can take pleasure in a laid-back and mellow atmosphere, while at the same time experiencing the elegant lifestyle of this town. One thing about Del Mar residents, they truly hold their privacy dearly and advocate the low-growth policy that still maintains and preserves this charismatic city. This is what keeps Del Mar homes in such high demand.

Great restaurants, fun boutique shops and unique personal services are located throughout the main street, Camino Del Mar. The Del Mar Plaza, with its elegant ocean-view patio and posh shopping and glamorous dining offers the perfect night out and daytime adventure. For casual sports games viewing, Pacifica Del Mar is a great meeting place.

Across from the Plaza, L’Auberge Hotel offers one of the most romantic settings for lounging or dining. This resort is luxury at its best.

Del Mar homes are priced high because of their high desirability factor. Those who own Del Mar homes know that it is a great investment. Only a few new homes are built each year. It’s much more common to see Del Mar homes get renovated than it is to see new homes built. Whether it’s your first home or second vacation home, a home in Del Mar present an amazing place to live, full of charm, luxury and fun!

Few foreclosures occurred in the 92014 zip code and most homeowners are longer term residences with stable assets and sources of income. It’s a great city to live in and known by the locals as the place to be for it’s small town coastal feel surrounded by numerous quality of life features.

A Dream Vacation Home in San Felipe, Baja California

A Dream Vacation Home in San Felipe, Baja California

San Felipe is a town in the Mexican state of Baja California, situated on the Gulf on California, about 118 miles south of the border connecting Mexico with the United States.

Due to the Colorado River delta, San Felipe has one of the world’s largest tidal bores. The average temperature in this town is of about 73 degrees F. Being located in an unique ecosystem, where the sea and the desert meet, the town of San Felipe can experience extremes in temperature, from about 105 degrees F in the shade in July and August, to about 40 degrees F at night, during the months of December and January.

The port of San Felipe depends on fishing to a great extent, this being its economic base. The population is somewhere around 15,000 inhabitants, but can increase with a few thousands, due to the number of part-time residents, be it vacation homeowners or retirees. The same temporary increase in population is to be seen in popular weekends, such as Memorial Day or Spring Break.

San Felipe is a popular vacation destination, especially for people from California, Arizona, and other southwestern states in the U.S., as well as for people in the Pacific. This town is also the spot for people from northern Mexico. All of these tourists are mainly attracted to the activities in the San Felipe area. These include riding ATVs and dirt bikes over the desert, which begins where the beaches of San Felipe end. Other popular activities in San Felipe include tennis matches, volleyball, fishing, and, of course, the off-road racing events such as San Felipe 250 and Baja 250

Tourists are also attracted by the sulfurous geothermal springs in Puertecitas, which sit on the Sea of Cortez, so the hot water from the pools is somewhat cooled down by the cool sea water. Another popular activity, which is also rather new, is the Carnaval.

San Felipe is part of the Baja California state, whose name is the Spanish version for “lower California”. This state has about tree million inhabitants, out of whom nearly 75% live either capital Mexicali, or in another populous city, Tijuana. Other major cities in Baja include San Felipe, Ensenada and Tecate.

Many of the northern Mexican states are entirely European, or white, but this is not the case with Baja, whose population includes many Mestizos, as well as some quite large minority groups, such as Middle Eastern, African, East Asian or of Indigenous descent.

The economics of Baja California imports, exports, fishing, and industries, out of which the tourism industry is the most developed and profitable.

The entire state of Baja California, but especially the town of San Felipe represents a growing area, and the real estate activity in the area has experienced tremendous growth in recent years. Vacation homes are especially popular near the main beach in San Felipe, but also in the coastal areas just below San Felipe.

An advantage to owning a vacation home in San Felipe or anywhere else in the state of Baja California, other than the amazing beaches, traditions and people, is the proximity to the United States, which makes this location ideal for a getaway home!

Best Southern California Surf Spots

Best Southern California Surf Spots

California is chock full of great surf spots from San Diego to Orange County. Here are a few of the best spots in San Diego and North County. Make sure you check out one of these awesome surfing beaches next time you’re in Southern California, you won’t regret it.

Blacks Beach: This beach located in the northern part of La Jolla is actually known far and wide as one of the best surf breaks in the entire country. People flock from various corners of America to get a piece of the action all year round, but this is not for the faint at heart. The water is rough, the hike down is a bit of a challenge, and the cliffs have falling rocks on a regular basis. Windansea: This is another of the famous San Diego surf spots. People don’t surf here as much as they once did though. This beach became popular in the sixties for its historical significance in the progressive surf movement. Many of the most famous surfers got their beginnings at Windansea. Beacon’s: Though it might be a bit of a challenge to get here because of the steep cliffs guarding the coast, this beach in Leucadia makes for a great day of surfing. Anyway, the steep steps do not stop the surfers from getting their daily fix. The beach itself is pretty rocky and it doesn’t make much of a case for sunbathers, but the surf is awesome. Grandview: This is one of the more popular surf spots located in Leucadia. If you plan on sunbathing a bit, you might find yourself squashed between the cliffs and the seaweed during high tide, but the majority of the beachgoers spend their time in the water so this doesn’t pose much of a problem. San Elijo State Beach: Located in Encinitas, this state beach and campground is beautiful, easily accessible and has a great surf break. This isn’t the best place for novices because of the reef, but it can pose an interesting challenge for the adventurous.

If you head to the heart of San Diego, there are many other intermediate surf spots in Mission Beach, Ocean Beach, and Pacific Beach, CA, as well as plenty of places to stay along the coast. Be sure to stop by one of these great beaches on your next trip out to the west coast. And be warned, many people who come for a vacation never look back.

Why not Acquire a Property in San Felipe, Baja California?

Why not Acquire a Property in San Felipe, Baja California?

Baja California has miles and miles of beautiful coastline. San Felipe is situated 125 miles south of the US border on that Baja coastline. It has a population of about 25,000 . This number includes the 10,000 American and Canadian residents who have retired to San Felipe.

During holiday periods there is, of course, more traffic, especially during Spring Break and other holidays. The active city has, in the past years, planted hundreds of new palm trees in the waterfront area on both sides of the seaside main drive. Tourists, locals and foreign residents like to cruise the seaside drive near the town center. There are always activities going on there. This area has hotels, resorts and restaurants and a lot of water sport activities.

There is a wide variety of facilities in San Felipe: markets, hotels, restaurants, bars, banks, clinics, trailer parks, auto mechanics, curio shops selling anything from shirts, shoes and beach wear to blankets and pottery. In San Felipe you find it all: hospitality, friendly people, warm climate, beautiful nature, white sandy beaches, mountains, etc. All this makes the San Felipe real estate opportunities exceptionally interesting for vacation, retirement or investment.

The beach in  the San Felipe area  has big tidal differences and year round warm ocean water. Water temperatures vary depending on the season. In the northern Gulf where San Felipe is situated the water temperature goes down in winter. In summer the temperature of the water may go up to 90 degrees F. In April the water starts warming up quickly and stays warm until October /November. So you won’t need a wetsuit to dive then. But in winter you will need one to dive as the water temperature goes down to some 60 degrees. Another attraction of this region is the unique eco-system because it’s one of the rare places where the desert meets the sea. The altitude of San Felipe is 10 ft above sea level.

Many Snowbirds (Americans who live part time in Mexico) have a property or some real estate in San Felipe. Buying property there is not complicated. The San Felipe real estate choice is large and interesting. Americans and other foreigners can easily acquire property in Mexico. All Mexican real estate transactions involve a real estate agent or broker, the buyer’s lawyer, a bank and a public notary. All these four players are essential in acquiring a property in San Felipe Baja as they are experienced specialists in their own fields .For more information on these legal aspects you can contact your Baja real estate agent.

Holiday Homes- California Versus Florida

Holiday Homes- California Versus Florida

If you happen to be among those people who, after a weary year, dream about having the perfect vacation away from home, then you know that the choice is though due to the harsh holiday home competition. But if what you’re looking for is quality, look no further than an American holiday home offer. Because America is all about being grand, whether we refer to impressive sky scrapers, sparkling azure lakes, a fancy cottage or a stunning holiday home.

Just as the west coast differs from the east cost, the holiday home domain has split the touristy choice into two major segments: California and Florida. At a first glance, a common holiday home searcher might say these states resemble much and the offer can’t be very complex. The Sunshine state and the Golden state are sunny, expensive and famous, but when it comes to holiday home, the two states come with knock-out villas, different for each of the two regions.

The Sunshine state promises to bring the sort of holiday home perfect for families, couples and friends, a take-away package that includes comfort, privacy and relaxation. You can take the Naples route and rent a holiday home with private pool, luxury spa and large living rooms, all this located in a paradise of sun, sea and nature. Or were you thinking Beverly Hills, with the heated pool pattern and landscaped gardens?

A holiday home in Florida draws heavily on bringing, together with the house utilities (large 4-5 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, full kitchen appliance package), a wide range of facilities and attractions. And if this means taking your children to the nearby Disneyland, or having a shopping session in the rich Tampa Bay, a Florida holiday home will give you everything you need.

But the Golden state, California, doesn’t waste any time. “Find yourself here” is precisely what a holiday home rental company will tell you if you are searching holiday accommodation. You can get a fancy 2 bedroom, 1 bathroom apartment in the centre of San Francisco if you are the town-boy type, or a fabulous, luxurious 5 bedroom, 3 bathroom holiday home in Hollywood if you wish to live like a star.

Californian private holiday home offers basically hit the jackpot with Wine country rentals in Napa Valley, where any holiday home searcher can spend his holiday in a cottage-like villa placed nearby the vineyards and old redwood trees. This way, California comes up with segment-oriented holiday home packages ranging from relaxation vacations to cultural discoveries in San Francisco and Los Angeles.

Visit the Golden State of California and Sample the Good Life

Visit the Golden State of California and Sample the Good Life

California was officially awarded the nickname of ‘The Golden State’ in 1968, due to its long history and association with all things golden – including its famous sunshine! Life in the Pacific Coast state of California happens at a different pace to the rest of the USA. It is the state-wide characteristics of a mild climate, chilled-out residents, beautiful beaches and stunning scenery that prove the big draw to the Golden State for visitors from throughout the world.

The geography throughout the state is very diverse, from the coastal Pacific plains in the west to the mountainous Sierra Nevada, bordering Arizona and Nevada in the east. In between the two is the fertile Central Valley, an important agricultural area for the USA. The Sierra Nevada is home to the spectacular Yosemite and Sequoia National Parks, the latter of which contains fine examples of the largest living organisms on earth: the Giant Sequoia. To sample everything that the Golden State has to offer a trip to this area is a must.

Since the influx of initial residents attracted by the Gold Rush of 1849 California has steadily expanded to become the most populous state in the USA. Big cities in the State include San Francisco, San Jose, Los Angeles and the capital Sacramento – home to the interactive Golden State Museum, dedicated to the history of California.

But the city that most typifies the Golden State lifestyle is San Diego. Being located in Southern California affords the city a warmer climate than the State’s cooler northern areas. With great beaches supporting a host of exciting water sports and major attractions within the city all in easy reach, this is the Californian city to visit if you only have time to see one of them.

The eighth largest city in the USA, San Diego offers visitors of all ages enough to keep them happily occupied on a vacation of any length. Surfing is a major activity at the many beaches throughout the region and the culture of its participants has rubbed off on the general population, giving them a relaxed and pleasant demeanor. Palm trees line the streets and the sun shines for most of the year in this idyllic part of California.

Downtown hotels in San Diego are a great place to stay in order to sample the Golden State’s good life. Not only are they in the heart of all the city’s amenities, they are next to the harbour and only a short drive to the beach. You’ll enjoy your stay so much you won’t want to leave.
