what are some things to do in california ?

My family is heading down this weekend and I was in the process of packing when I thought what kind of activities should I be packing for. Is hiking basically going to be the whole premise of my vacation or are there other things to do at the park?

It’ll be just my husband and I and we would like to do some hiking and visit a winery in the area. Any suggestions of what hike or winery or where to stay would be great! We’ll be there less than a week and it’ll be in September. Thanks!

Going to go from San Diego up the whole coast to the north.

I don’t mind a road trip, I just don’t know where we would end up! But we both need a vacation since we haven’t had one this summer. We are planning to go in September for our 4 year anniversary. Any good ideas?

I’m thinking about a going to community college out west, and and trying to decide between San Diego and San Francisco. I realize cost of living in higher in SF, but it isn’t much of a factor.
